A walk on the wild side
Our guides have walked the length and
breath of Nepal and can give you an idea about where and when to go. All our wilderness treks are individual
tailored and we could bring you just about anywhere you want in Nepal. Please contact us for your individual
plans.
Some of the most interesting routes are on our list further down. They have
been (most of them ) just recently opened for tourism and will show you the still rural and medieval Nepal, while
you trek to the highest mountains in the world.
Fully supported wilderness
trekking.
It's the best way to experience the high Himalayas. To be out of
the valleys, through the forest, above the timberline onto the ridges, towards or even in the snow. Thoroughly
equipped to the last detail, under the lead of a Sardar, a splendid team of Sherpas ,cook kitchen-staff and porters,
will help us on our way.
Each expedition is fully equipped in very way for the remote wilderness
conditions encountered. There is no need for full mountaineering or rock climbing, nor needing ropes, crampons or
Ice axes. The typical day will be as following "Bed tea" wakes you in time for the sunrise views
at 6.30 am (hot basins for washing and shaving soon follow) breakfast is at approx. 7.30 am There is a real spread
for lunch and snacks on reaching camp. A plentiful evening meal is ready at around 7.00 pm. The typical day will
involve about 3-4 hours slow but steady walking before lunch and an afternoon hike of about 2-3 hours with rests now
and again.
There is no minimum group size, but there shouldn't be more than
12 trekkers in one group.
If you are averagely fit and enjoy the outdoors and walking
you should do fine. If we reach high altitude our program will have rest days and more rest time to acclimatize to
the conditions encountered on our way.
